Elizabeth Olsen

I first met Lizzie about 3 years ago on the set of her break out movie, “Martha Marcy May Marlene.” Even back then she had a quiet confidence that belied her 20 years, which very clearly set her apart from the bevvy of other beauties on set. Mix that with her Lauren Hutton like looks and we have the recipe for an intimidating star in the making. Cut to 2013 and I am over at at her apt in NYC where she was making her home made fresh mango tea (it was delicious, by the way!). This was her last day off before going into production on her new venture, which you shall read about in her interview so I won’t ruin it. She is still gorgeous, has a slew of movies under her belt, has played the hollywood game for a few years and figured out what works for her and what doesn’t and most importantly she has fallen madly in love with a very handsome young man!
Life seems pretty good in Lizzie land….Who is Elizabeth Olsen?
A wannabe Martha Stewart trapped in 24-year-old’s body! What did you want to be when you grew up?
An actress, a dancer and a singer so I could play opposite Frank Sinatra. -
How did you get to be where you are?
Right place at the right time by way of a strong competitive nature. I had a complex about being the best since I was a little kid, which I thankfully said goodbye to in college. If you could go back in time and give your 16 year old self some advice what would it be?
One day you will become neurotic, so embrace your sense of freedom and being carefree. -
If the cupboard in your bedroom would lead you to another world what would your Narnia look like?
There would be huge lush mountains on top of the cleanest beaches with never-ending gardens filled with beautiful produce, my hubby, friends and family by my side.By day you are ……….. by night you are……… ?
By day, I am a 10 year old playing with my imagination trying to imitate life, and by night I am a wannabe cook, flower arranger, and host. -
What was one of your favorite past projects?
Working with my good friend Sean Durkin. I love projects the more challenging and demanding they are, but I got more than that after working with him. I got great friends, one of the best months of my life, and a new sense of self-worth and confidence. What are you working on now and what do you dream of happening in the future?
I am currently working on Juliet, in Romeo and Juliet, in an off-Broadway production, while continually working on my physical and mental health, which in itself is a very pleasing and fascinating job. I like to think the future will be full of happiness and challenges and tons of love. -
What song do you love that you keep secret cause its too embarrassing to say publicly that you like it!?
Since I’ve accepted being a dork long ago, there aren’t too many things that I feel embarrassed about. When I hear Paul Simon’s “You Can Call Me Al,” I know it’s going to be a good day.Which version of “A Good Year For The Roses” do you prefer George Jones or Elvis Costello?
Since I did not know either, I listened to them on YouTube. And my verdict is Costello. -

Morning, by a landslide.Any advice for peeps just starting out?
Never think you need to know everything. Asking for help and admitting weakness will only lead you to growth. Is there a quote or mantra you live by?
Not really. I believe in what you put out is what you’ll receive. So work your ass off, love unconditionally, and forgive willingly.
