    Who are Jess and Simon?

We are the wind and the hills. The tears in your eyes and the clouds on the horizon.

    (J) I think we are a pretty solid team. Entrepreneurs, free thinkers, love bugs, Mommy and Daddy, friends. Although we have many disagreements (the only times we don’t are pretty much right before bed and right after we wake up) but he is also my favorite person to hang out with.

    (S) We are a couple of kooks stuck on romancing.

  • How long have you been together?

    Seven years.

Tell us your story, how did you meet?

    (J) Simon came to my birthday party. I was turning 29 and I had a joint night-picnic with my friend Siobhan in the park and Simon came with his friend Gorgeous Josh. I had just started seeing someone else but Simon came out of left field and immediately stole my heart. We bonded over our love for the Mighty Boosh and I recognized that we had very similar humor which was and still is very important. That first night he ended up coming over and we stayed up till dawn kissing and singing Otis Reading songs. Err which sounds kinda lame when you say it out loud like that but at the time was the best thing ever.

    (S) It was unusually warm for a September evening.

Was it love at first sight?

    (J) No…I generally didn’t go for blonds.

    (S) Yes…I generally go for blonds.

  • Out of the billions of people in the world why each other?

    (J) I think about this a lot. Especially when I am a little bit out of sorts…I wonder out of everyone why did I decide this was the man for the long haul – why did I choose him? Usually as I’m drifting away on this internal tangent he’ll walk in the room and say or do something that will really crack me up and all negativity or doubt is instantly forgotten and everything makes sense. Simon keeps things really light which I’ve come to realize is such an important Ying to my Yang.

    (S) Because Venus and Mars were aligned and that is the truth.

    Your hopes and dreams?

Keep the level of happiness high and grow together as a family.

    Who is the better dancer?

    (J) ME

    (S) ME

  • Do you believe it’s ok to go on separate vacations?

We do but it is more fun going with each other.

To fart or not to fart in front of each other?!

    FART

What have been some of the most important lessons you have learnt over the years?

    (J) ‘Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you’re right.’ I know it’s a poster quote but it’s just so true.

    (S) “Just to love and be loved in return”

  • What is easy? What is hard?

Having fun, laughing, being in water & sunshine, traveling, telling stories, taking showers, drinking wine, walking…we both feel like we could walk forever and it wouldn’t be a problem. What is hard? Literally everything else.

How do you keep the romance alive?

    (J) Fancy Lingerie & never taking ourselves too seriously.

    (S) How do we keep it at bay – hubba hubba….

Any idea what the secret is to everlasting love?

    (J) Being nice to each other.

    (S) To know we are here only for a fleeting moment so enjoy it.
